Religions and folklore is built over time and often built on something else. So if you’re foolish enough to decide to create an entire universe (with the possibility for AUs), you both need organization and chaos. And lots of tea. Chaos for the creativity and organization so the creative stuff can be shared with others with ease.

Last week I’ve been working on charts for our deities, monsters, and supernatural/off-plane beings. These are by now means finished.

We’d discussed that the deities would be based on elements of the human experience: life, death, order, chaos, and balance. The monsters are based on elements: water, fire, air, and earth. Supernaturals/off-plane beings would be things that don’t fit into those categories, namely angels, demons, and the hybrid offspring of all the deities, monsters, and off-plane beings. Currently working on where beings like ancestral spirits and cultural supernaturals like the fae would go.

Excited to meet up with Jasmine later this week to hash out more details and run these things by her.
